Write a brief summary  (6 lines) of the following Oscar Wilde´s stories. Include one picture for each book.


1) The picture of Dorian Gray.
Basil Hallward is an artist who is enormously impressed by the aesthetic beauty of a young man named Dorian Gray and begins to admire him. Basil paints a portrait of the young man.
Dorian meets a friend of Basil and begins to be captivated by the vision of the world of Lord Henry.Lord Henry indicates that "the only thing worthwhile in life is beauty,and the satisfaction of the senses. "Realizing that one day her beauty will fade,Dorian wishes he was always the age when Basil painted him in the painting.

2) The importance of being Ernest.




"The importance of being Ernest" is a farcical comedy in which the protagonists maintain fictitious personæ to escape burdensome social obligations.
Working within the social conventions of late Victorian London, the play's major themes are the triviality with which it treats institutions as serious as marriage, and the resulting satire of Victorian ways.

3)An ideal husband.

It is Sir Robert Chiltern who is now secretary of State for Foreign Affairs is because he has kept secret the origin of his fortune: a fraudulent transaction for which he sold state secrets to Baron Arnehim.All English high society and its peers of the House of Commons have a respectable and honest man.Symbol of honesty and future political competition seems bright,always counting on the support of his wife, Lady Chiltern, who considers him the ideal husband.

4)The selfish giant.

The selfish giant owns a beautiful garden. Some children take advantage of the giant's visit to an ogre's house to enjoy his garden. When one afternoon the giant returns from visiting his cousin, he surprises the children; throws them and builds a wall to keep them from returning. But without the children in the garden sadness reigned. But without the children in the garden, sadness reigned. The trees did not give flowers or fruits, the birds did not thresh and there was no spring in it. Just winters. Eventually, the children entered the garden through an opening and the whole place revered. The Giant was amazed

5) The Happy Prince



In a town where a lot of poor people suffer and where there are a lot of miseries, a swallow who was left behind after his flock flew off to Egypt for the winter, meets the statue of the late "Happy Prince," who in reality has never experienced true sorrow, for he lived in a palace where sorrow was not allowed to enter. Viewing various scenes of people suffering in poverty from his tall monument, the Happy Prince asks the swallow to take the ruby from his hilt, the sapphires from his eyes, and the golden leaf covering his body to give to the poor.
